Audit log
Every posting and every edit is recorded with who did it and when. The log cannot be edited.
Your records are financial records. Faas is designed so every change is traceable, closed periods stay closed, and you decide who can see what.
Six things we build around so that accounting data stays accurate and in the right hands.
Every posting and every edit is recorded with who did it and when. The log cannot be edited.
Once a period is closed, it stays closed. Corrections go in as dated reversing journals, so the history is never rewritten.
The control panel lets you invite people and decide what each person can do. Not everyone needs to see everything.
Give an auditor a view of the books without any ability to change them.
Every connection to Faas uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, and keys and tokens you give us are stored encrypted. Two-factor sign in is available on every account.
The database and uploaded files are backed up every night, encrypted, and copied to a second location outside our hosting provider. The whole server is also snapshotted daily.
Every entry in Faas leaves a trail. When an accountant or an auditor asks where a number came from, you can show them.
After your accountant finishes a period, lock it. Nobody can quietly change last quarter's numbers. If something needs fixing, a dated reversing journal shows exactly what changed and why.
Invite your accountant to work on the books, and give an auditor read-only access when they need to look. Roles and read-only auditor access are part of the Practice plan, and the Standard plan gives your accountant Full Mode. Every plan has unlimited users. See the pricing page for the full list.
Faas runs on DigitalOcean servers in Singapore. Your records stay in that region, and encrypted backup copies are kept in Malaysia.
